Lately in life...

Beach season has picked back up again and we're all pretty stoked about it.  We live for the beach in the summer and as my kids get older, it's getting so much easier to go.  I can finally make Indy carry my backpack chair and the 3 big boys are excellent swimmers and boogie boarders.  Ohhhh, how long I've waited for this.

BBQ season is in full swing, too.  We have the longest BBQ season in probably the whole country, so I guess it's not a huge deal.  We just really love eating dinner on the patio when it's still light out.
My kids know the importance of big muscles and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Indy finally got a haircut and I have to admit it was pretty devastating at first.  I really love it short now that I'm used to it.  Those blonde curls sure had my heart.
 "Oh hayyyyy, ladies."
I finally got new couches and I'm pretty stoked about how snugly they are.  I'm also very happy that we went with a dark fabric.  I was getting so sick of cleaning the upholstery on my old set.

I took a trip to Seattle to see Lizzy and I'm still dreaming of the flowers in Pike's Place.
We had tacos on Cinco de Mayo and a few of us basically "came out" as Mexicans at heart.
Indy and Signe are the cutest self proclaimed besties.  Their love guys, it's so sweet – it's almost like Signe is like the big sister he never had.
I don't know what is going on here, but I love it.  He hiked up his chonies and pretended to dance – then this magic photo happened.  Ha ha.
Just when I think I can't love them anymore ...I do.

Lately in life. . .

Just sitting here enjoying some random pictures from my last batch dumped onto my computer – and, I'm realizing 90% of my pictures should be deleted from the get go.  Ain't nobody got time for that I guess.

I love Spring time in my yard.  It's like a daily surprise when new things pop up.  Like, "Oh, I forgot there were a ton of calla lilies here!" and "Yay, there's tons of strawberries growing."  The little things, guys.

I bought 4 of these bad boys for twenty bucks from a guy selling firewood.  I don't even know why other than I like them and I feel like they'd be useful for event planning and such.  You guys, the funny looks I get from Sean when he sees the stuff I come home with.  The best.

I took a 3 month hiatus from anything in the kitchen while I was on crutches and it was much more devastating than I thought it would be.  These hands are made for cookin' and that's just what they'll do!  So glad to be back at it.

I cooked up this delish whipped body butter and it's been selling like crazy.  Kinda awesome because I love it so much, too.  I've been shaving my legs with it lately and you all should come over and feel these gams. Sooooo silky smooth.  Do you want some too?  Hit me up!

I've caught the crafting bug lately – AND, I like it. So therapeutic.

When I'm not hobbling around crafting and cooking, I'm at physical therapy.  I thought you all might wanna be grossed out with a knee update.  This is a week post-op from my latest revision surgery.  Doc opened back up the side incision and removed bone and fluid.  It sure is ugly (and painful) but, I'm hopeful things will get better from here.

And the rest are just pictures of my babers being cute kids.  I just love the Boyd brood.

The end.

Lately in life . . .

Sean always talks about how it's so great that Daysen and Brenner have each other & Zane and Indy have each other.  He likes to say they "run together."  Definitely true of these two.  They are inseparable best friends.  They almost never fight but they're always getting into trouble.

Really, Sean is one of them too.  May he never grow up.
Exhibit A – Older kids and younger kids.  Hang in there parents.  Church won't be exhausting forever.

This Week.

Oh man, have we been packing it all in.  I feel like I have to do everything I want to do this holiday season, before I go in for surgery (Thursday, eeek!).  I really don't know how I'll feel afterwards, so it's party town until then.

My cousins wife, Aarin, came to to visit with her kiddies last week.  We let the minions run amuck – we went to old town for tacos –  we had hot chocolate  – and, we went to the San Diego Temple to see the Christmas lights.  These cousins are the cutest!

We went to the sweetest baptism + birthday luncheon for sweet little Ella.

I took a few pictures of my friends, the Browns, so they could announce their pregnancy – A miracle baby they've waited a long time for.  I'm so happy for them!  They are the best humans!

We did Danish Christmas dinner with the Meilsoes and Smiths.  I've been day dreaming about this amazing meal since we had it last year. This will definitely be a yearly tradition.

Sean got the almond in the Risalamande AGAIN this year.  Erin said I could share her recipe, so I might just do that.  You guys need this yumminess in your life!

And we made cookies. LOTS of cookies.  I guess I'm ready for surgery now.  Let's do this.
