My friends and I hosted a little "Bike Copenhagen" themed baby shower for our friend Erin this weekend. I came up with the theme of Bike Copenhagen since her husband is from Denmark and they lived there together for four years before moving to San Diego. Her two little girls were born there and we didn't want her little boy to feel left out when it comes to his Danish heritage!
I tried to incorporate all the Danish-ish things I have learned about from Erin. Of course bikes are a biggie over there. As part of my gift, I made and bought decorations that she could use in baby Atli's nursery. Our friend Jordan sewed the little Danish flag bunting and the bike quilt that will both look so cute in his room. We also had bowls of Danish black licorice, a cheese board complete with Danish rye bread and Danish Havarti – and a Danish vanilla bean rice pudding called Risalamande. It was a whole lot of Denmark up in here!
Erin's sister, Ali, designed this adorable invite. It was perfect!
Thank you to all who helped and attended! Now her little Danish Viking is ready for his debut!
What a cool theme and everything, even the food, was so pretty! Not surprising, though. You girls throw beautiful parties. :) Congrats to Erin!
