Deck The Halls

I love the heck out of Christmas--Every single part of it. This weekend we kick-started the Holiday Season by putting up our Christmas stuff. My kids love the tradition of getting the tree up and decorated together. Every year we get hot chocolate and listen to our favorite mix of Christmas songs, while The Polar Express softly plays on the TV. Once everything is up, and the totes are stashed in the garage, we cuddle up and talk about all things Christmas. Our plans. Wishlists. Food we'll eat. 'Tis the season of pure joy & happiness!
I crafted up these trees out of scrap cardboard & fabrics. I'm planning to make more for the fireplace. So easy, guys!

"Ummm yeah, we'll take that one."

The kids named her "Big Bertha."

Halls Decked!

The End.

  2. First time commenter, long time reader....I'm 'challenged' in the craft department but I *think* I may be able to make those sweet mini-Christmas trees. Can you share how you did that? They would look perfect on the hearth of our fireplace.

    1. Hey! I just used some scrap cardboard--it was really thin though. I would suggest getting the white posters from target (they're .34 each) and roll them into a cone shape. I just taped it and then hot glued on the fabric. The felt I cut into circles and layered and the silk and burlap was cut into strips and glued on. Hope that was helpful! Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas!!!!
